Montville, NJ (Nov 4, 2024) – SNOW Partners is proud to announce the appointment of Doug Olson as the first Executive Director for The Hession Foundation. In this newly created role, Olson will lead the strategic growth of the Foundation and oversee its daily operations as it strives to serve at-risk youth in combating the dangers of substance abuse and addiction.

“We are thrilled to welcome Doug to The Hession Foundation and the SNOW Partners team,” said Joe Hession, CEO of SNOW Partners. “Since its creation, the Foundation has been something that we at SNOW Partners have all been very proud of. With Doug in place, we are ready to take the Foundation to the next level and grow its impact in helping our communities to battle the challenges of drug and alcohol addiction.”

A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Olson brings more than 30 years of non-profit leadership, management and fundraising experience to the Foundation. During his career, Olson has led a myriad of programs and fundraising campaigns at organizations like Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation (Mountainside), Alzheimer’s Association Greater NJ (Denville), The Valerie Fund for Children with Cancer & Blood Disorders (Maplewood), and Challenged Athletes Foundation, the San Diego, CA based national organization helping people with physical disabilities access sports.

“The mission of the Hession Foundation is very personal for me,” said Doug Olson, Executive Director The Hession Foundation. “I have seen first-hand family members battle alcohol and drug abuse, and know how devastating that can be. I am honored to join such a great team in SNOW Partners and look forward to maximizing the Foundation’s impact on people in need in partnership with the Hession Foundation Board of Directors and its grantees.”

The Hession Foundation was founded in 2021 by SNOW Partners and named in honor of Joe and Patrick Hession’s father, Joseph P. Hession. A recovering alcoholic, who has been sober for the last 47 years, Joseph P. Hession spent his career as a drug and alcohol counselor and was recognized as the New York State Counselor of the year in 2000.
