A Grantmaking Foundation

Supporting our Community Initiatives

The Hession Foundation is a 501c3 charity founded by SNOW Partners. The Foundation is focused on raising and donating funds to help support community initiatives, such as increasing alcohol and substance abuse awareness and education in the areas in which our SNOW Partners companies do business. The foundation was named in honor of Joe and Patrick’s father Joseph P. Hession, a recovering alcoholic, who has been sober for the last 46 years. Joseph P. Hession spent his career as a drug and alcohol counselor and was recognized as the New York State Counselor of the year in 2000.

The Hession Foundation is a grantmaking foundation. Donations are raised through our businesses and the public, and those funds are distributed to deserving not-for-profit organizations working in the local communities in which our SNOW Partners businesses operate. Our purpose is to work with organizations within our communities to develop solutions to help bring awareness, education, and resources to people who are at risk or struggling with addiction either personally or within their family. Our focus is on helping to fund initiatives geared towards prevention, treatment and recovery. Each of our recipients are carefully vetted by our Board of Directors to ensure they meet our specific grant criteria and align with core our mission and values.
