Our current geographic focus is the State of New Jersey with an emphasis on the communities in which our companies do business. This includes: Sussex, Hudson, Morris and Bergen Counties.

Our approach to grantmaking is focused on highly effective and efficient non-profit organizations, and understanding their needs and their programs. We like to partner with our grantees to see them achieve their full impact for their participants and community.

We realize that alcohol and substance abuse are large problems in our communities and to make a significant impact non-profit programs, foundations, government agencies and community leaders must all work together and collaborate. Therefore, we encourage grant applicants who collaborate, build coalitions and partner with other community leaders/organizations.

NOTE: The Foundation supports prevention programs (not recovery programs at this time).

How to Apply:

Successful grant applicants typically receive $1,000 to $10,000.

April Decisions:

Grant Application deadline is February 15, 2026

December Decisions:

Grant Application deadline is November 15, 2026.

Please mail a complete and succinct application with the following:

Cover letter on your organization’s letterhead and signed by the Executive Director or Board Chair with a 3 page maximum narrative proposal that includes:

    • Your vision and mission and key programs
    • A brief history of your organization and key accomplishments
    • Key Staff and Brief Bios
    • NEED for Your Program or Organization (who do you serve, what is the need in terms of numbers, services, geographic area served, etc.)
    • Project detail for what you are asking support for with #s, collaborators
    • Impact you wish to achieve with grant funding / the project
 

Please also provide the following information:

  • 501 (C)(3) tax exempt letter
  • Project Budget for the Project You are Requesting Support For (if applicable)
  • Board Approved Operating Budget for the Current Year
  • Most Recent Form 990
  • Most Recent Audited Financial Statements
  • Listing of Board Members and Affiliations
  • Most Recent Annual Report (if applicable)
